Songwriter/Producer Keith Marshall named his publishing company, "Maceo's Revenge Music Publishing" in honor of his late uncle, Maceo Johnson, who was the illest bass player in the DMV area.
Keith Marshall was born and raised in N.E., Washington, DC. Always having a love for music, starting from a early age hangING with his older cousins at his grandmother's house in her basement and listening to Parliment Funkadelick and Earth, Wind & Fire. After the lost of his older brother to the streets, Keith's mother insisted that Keith audition for the Duke Ellington School of Arts in Washington, DC. Although Keith first attended the school for his talents in Visiual Arts, he quickly graviated to his love of music. While at Duke Ellington, Keith joined a male group who won many talent shows including winning muliple times at the famous Apollo theater in New York. That success sealed his path in life. Eventually Keith decided he wanted to take a backseat to the spotlight and found pleasure in writing and producing. Keith currently writes and produces for many artists and is involved in a wide array of other production projects.
